What_ is_ the_ Silver_ Levene_ Tax_ Club?

The Silver Levene Tax Club offers protection against the professional costs involved in an HMRC tax investigation. If you join our tax club, you pay an annual fixed fee to cover the costs of most HMRC investigations.
The fees for resolving these issues can be significant when compared to normal tax return costs. As such, we believe joining the Tax Club gives peace of mind and value for money.
In the October Budget, Ms Reeves confirmed recruitment of an additional 5000 HMRC compliance staff. This will likely have an impact on the number of letters sent by HMRC to our clients.
Over recent years the most common enquiries raised by HMRC have included:
- Rental Income & Air B&B Income
- Capital Gain Property Disposals
- Overseas Income & Gains
- Pension Charges
- Overseas Workday Relief
- Employee Benefit Queries
Protection Offered
Our Tax Club subscription will only cover enquiries raised by HMRC in respect of UK tax returns. We will not cover any non-UK tax return filings or enquiries raised by tax authorities elsewhere in the world.
The Silver Levene tax club will cover all enquiries into Company Tax Returns, Personal Tax Returns, VAT returns and PAYE Returns.
Tax Club will not cover fees for the following: –
- Enquiries under Code of Practice 8 or 9, which is where HMRC suspect that errors may have arisen from fraud or deliberate conduct.
- Fees for any voluntary disclosures to HMRC (for example the Worldwide Disclosure Facility) whether prompted or not.
- Tax returns which are NOT prepared by Silver Levene
Our fees for this service are as below;

| Sole Trader VAT Registered | £360 (£300 plus VAT) | (i) Enquiries into personal tax returns
(ii) Enquiries into VAT returns (only if we prepare the VAT returns) |
| Individual & Sole Trader (Not VAT Registered) | £180 (£150 plus VAT) | (i) Enquiries into personal tax returns |
If you have not subscribed for earlier years and would like to do so, we can accommodate this for an additional fee if enquiries have not already been opened into that period.
